Nago irrigation water. The increase in population causes the population to move to a higher area green zone. Batang Kuranji watershed has experienced a reduction in the area of forest land due to changes in land use activities by the population movement.

SWAT was developed to predict the impact of land management practice on water, sediment and agricultural chemical yields in large complex watersheds with varying soils, land use and management conditions over long periods of time. It was designed to predict the impact of proposed or alternative land management practices on water, sediment and agricultural chemical yields within complex watersheds of varying soils, land use and management conditions over extended periods of time. The model operates on a daily time step, it is process based, computationally efficient, and capable of continuous simulation over long time periods.

Wang, Y. In: Guido-Aldana, P. Under the influences of climate change and human activities, the water cycle under changing environment and distributed hydrological model based on physical mechanism have become the focus of hydrology research. The paper used CiteSpace to analyze the research progress based on previous literatures. The results of high frequency keywords and co-word analysis show that the research hotspots of SWAT model include water quality problem, sediment yield, model calibration, uncertainty analysis and sensitivity analysis.

The literatures related to SWAT were divided into model application, model accuracy and model coupling. The paper mainly focused on the literature related to model application.

The domestic and abroad research processes were reviewed from three hot application fields such as runoff simulation, hydrological impacts under changing environment HIUCE and non-point source NPS pollution. The results show that: 1 the research content of runoff simulation mainly focused on the adaptability and accuracy of the model; 2 the research content of HIUCE mainly concentrated on analysis of historical changes in hydrological effects and prediction of future changes using the scenario analysis; 3 the research content of NPS pollution mainly focused on the spatial and temporal distribution of nutrients, the influencing factors and degree of nutrients, and the prediction of future to select Best Management Practices BMPs.

The paper pointed out some existing problems, prospected the future research, and proposed research idea of model improvement to adapt to the domestic changing environment. This study should be beneficial to systematically understand the structure, principle, application fields and future development trends of SWAT model, and thus provide references for users of SWAT model in related subjects.

SWAT was able to replicate annual, monthly, and daily streamflow, as well as sediment, nitrate and mineral phosphorous within recommended accuracy in most cases. The one-to-one match between farm fields and HRUs created and used in this study is a first step in performing LULC change, climate change impact, and other analyses in a more spatially explicit manner. Watershed heterogeneity and limitations associated with monitoring make it impractical to measure every aspect of the hydrological system Pechlivanidis et al. Hydrological models are frequently used to overcome these limitations and extrapolate information from available measurements in both time and space to the watershed scale. Ecohydrological models are important for a wide range of applications such as water resources planning, watershed development and management, flood prediction and design, water quality evaluation, hydro-ecology, and climate change analyses.

The model is designed to simulate the effects of changes in land management practices, land use and climate on surface water and groundwater quality and quantity, sediments, nutrients, and pesticide yields within catchments.

Show all documents Sensitivity analysis of the Soil and Water Assessment Tools SWAT model in streamflow modeling in a rural river basin The uncertainties present in hydrological models have made them difficult and often impossible to apply. Four sensitivity analysis tests differing by the length of hydrological series, number of iteration and fluviometric station locations resulted in different sensitivity levels of input parameters used in the model. In this way, the present study emphasizes the need for a greater detailing of methodological processes used in the sensitivity analysis , so that different hierarchies of parameters can be obtained through the same tool.
